You are invited to the third Capital City Ride for Hope (CCRH) to be held June 7, 2008. CCRH is a bike ride and family-fun and community-awareness event to benefit the Tallahassee Memorial Cancer Center, an affiliate of the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute.

The funds raised from CCRH will support cancer patients in Big Bend region by providing funds to benefit the Tallahassee Memorial Cancer Center where patients can receive comprehensive and compassionate care, close to home.

The Tallahassee Memorial Cancer Center is accredited with commendation by the American College of Surgeon's Commission on Cancer. It is the Big Bend region's only accredited cancer program and the longest continuously accredited program in the comprehensive community hospital category, Additionally, the Tallahassee Memorial Cancer Center's affiliation with the prestigious H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute enhances TMH's means that residents in Florida's Big Bend region can continue to receive comprehensive cancer care from Tallahassee Memorial while having access to Moffitt for a broader range of clinical trials, specialized treatments and advanced research and technology.

CCRH is modeled after the highly successful Lance Armstrong Foundation's annual bike ride and inspired by the amazing Lou Farrah, his family, and their remarkable Ride for Hope. Lou Farrah passed away in November 2006, but his legacy lives on through this ride. Everything done through CCRH is a testament to Lou's vision to have a charity event in Tallahassee to benefit cancer patients and survivors.
